What these guides are for
These pages are for you, the business owner. Each Google product has two guides: create the account if you do not have one yet, then invite Campaignly inside Google.
You complete these steps in Google. They are separate from connecting a platform inside the Campaignly app.
Use the email from your onboarding message
On every platform, invite the Campaignly email we sent you. That address is in your Campaignly onboarding message. Paste that same address each time.
Which guide to follow
Open only the platforms Campaignly asked for.
Google Ads
When Campaignly will manage or report on your ads.
- Don’t have an account yet? Create a Google Ads account.
- Already have one? Invite Campaignly to Google Ads as Admin (preferred for onboarding) or Standard.
Google Tag Manager
When Campaignly will install or update tracking tags.
- Don’t have an account yet? Create a Google Tag Manager account and the first container. Putting the container on the site is a separate step.
- Already have one? Invite Campaignly to Google Tag Manager with Publish on the live container, or Admin on the account.
Google Analytics
When Campaignly needs your website traffic.
- Don’t have an account yet? Create a Google Analytics account, including the web data stream.
- Already have one? Invite Campaignly to Google Analytics. Analyst is preferred. Viewer is the minimum. Use the property that owns the measurement ID on your live site.
Google Search Console
When Campaignly needs your Google search results.
- Don’t have a property yet? Create a Google Search Console property.
- Already have one? Invite Campaignly to Google Search Console. Full is preferred. Restricted still works for viewing data. Use the property that matches your site.
Google Business Profile
When Campaignly will help with your Google listing.
- Don’t have a profile yet? Create a Google Business Profile.
- Already have one? Invite Campaignly to Google Business Profile as Manager.
After you send each invite
- Send the invite on each platform Campaignly named.
- Leave it pending until Campaignly accepts the email. You will see the address listed as pending until then.
- When a screen asks you to pick an account, property, or location, choose the one tied to your live website or the ads you actually run.
If a menu is missing, you may be signed in with access that is too limited to add people. Ask the person who set up that account — usually an admin or owner — to send the invite with the email from your onboarding message.
