What it does

When you export a proposal from Campaignly, you can save it directly to your Google Drive instead of downloading it to your computer first. This keeps your proposals organized in the cloud and makes them easy to share with clients or team members.

Prerequisites

You'll need:

  • A Google account (personal or Google Workspace)
  • Permission to create or edit files in your Google Drive
  • Active connection to the internet

How to save a proposal to Google Drive

  1. Open the proposal you want to export.
  2. Click the Export button (usually in the top-right corner or proposal menu).
  3. Select Google Drive from the export options.
  4. A Google authentication window will appear on first use — click Allow to authorize Campaignly to access your Drive.
  5. Choose the folder where you want to save the proposal, or leave it in your Drive root.
  6. Click Save (or Confirm).
  7. Campaignly will generate the file and upload it directly to Google Drive.

The proposal saves as a PDF by default. You'll see a confirmation message with a link to open the file in Google Drive.

Important notes

File naming: Campaignly names files using your proposal name and date. You can rename them in Google Drive after saving.

Permissions: Make sure your Google account has edit access to the destination folder. If you're saving to a shared team drive, check that you have the right permissions there.

Large proposals: Proposals with many pages or high-resolution images may take a few seconds to upload. Don't close your browser until you see the success message.

Re-saving: Each time you export to Google Drive, it creates a new file. If you want to update an existing proposal, download the new version and manually replace it in Drive, or change the folder location before exporting.

Troubleshooting

"Authorization failed" message: Try logging out of your Google account in another tab, then authorize Campaignly again.

File didn't appear in Drive: Check your Drive's trash folder. If it's not there, try exporting again. If the problem persists, contact support.

Wrong folder selected: Google Drive folders can be nested. Make sure you've navigated to the correct subfolder before saving.
