What this integration does

Connecting your Meta Business account to Campaignly lets you create and manage Facebook and Instagram ads directly from the platform. You can launch campaigns, monitor performance, and adjust spend without leaving Campaignly.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • A Meta Business account (previously Facebook Business Manager)
  • Admin or advertiser access to that account
  • At least one ad account created within your Meta Business account
  • A Campaignly account with appropriate permissions

Connect your Meta Business account

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrations in Campaignly.
  2. Find Meta (or Facebook & Instagram) and click Connect.
  3. You'll be redirected to Meta's login page. Sign in with your Meta Business account credentials.
  4. Review the permissions Campaignly is requesting. Click Allow to proceed.
  5. Select which ad account(s) you want to connect. You can add multiple accounts if needed.
  6. Click Confirm to complete the connection.

Campaignly will now sync your ad accounts and you're ready to create campaigns.

Create an ad campaign

Once connected, you can build Facebook or Instagram ads:

  1. In your campaign builder, select Meta as your platform.
  2. Choose your ad account from the dropdown.
  3. Select your audience, creative assets, and campaign objective.
  4. Set your budget and schedule.
  5. Review and publish.

Your ad goes live on Facebook and/or Instagram based on your placements.

Disconnect your account

To remove the connection:

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrations.
  2. Find Meta and click the menu icon (⋮).
  3. Select Disconnect.
  4. Confirm the action.

This disconnects Campaignly's access to your ad accounts. Any active campaigns managed through Campaignly will stop being manageable from the platform, but won't be paused or deleted.

Troubleshooting

"Permission denied" error during connection

You likely don't have admin access to the Meta Business account. Ask your account owner or someone with admin rights to complete the connection step.

Ad account doesn't appear in the dropdown

The account may not be linked to your Meta Business account yet. Go to Meta Business Manager, add the ad account, then return to Campaignly and try connecting again.

Connected account is missing recent data

Meta's data can take 24–48 hours to sync fully. Wait a day and refresh your dashboard.

I want to connect a different ad account

Go to SettingsIntegrationsMeta, then click Manage Accounts. You can add or remove ad accounts without disconnecting entirely.

Important notes

  • Campaignly syncs performance data every few hours. Real-time reporting isn't available.
  • Ads created outside Campaignly (directly in Meta) won't appear in Campaignly's campaign list.
  • You can't edit ads after they've launched through Campaignly. You'll need to pause and create a new one.
  • Ensure your payment method is set up in Meta before launching campaigns.
