What connecting LinkedIn does

When you connect your LinkedIn Ads account to Campaignly, you can:

  • View LinkedIn ad performance data alongside other channels
  • Manage campaigns from your Campaignly dashboard
  • Sync audience insights and engagement metrics
  • Track ROI across your LinkedIn spend

You'll need a LinkedIn Campaign Manager account with admin access to complete the connection.

Before you start

Check that you have:

  • Admin access to your LinkedIn Campaign Manager account
  • Permission to manage ad accounts (or ask your LinkedIn account admin to authorize the connection)
  • Active LinkedIn Ads campaigns running (optional, but helpful for testing the connection)

Connect your LinkedIn account

  1. Log in to Campaignly and go to Integrations (usually in Settings or the main menu).

  2. Find LinkedIn Ads in the list and click Connect.

  3. You'll be redirected to LinkedIn. Sign in with the account that has access to your Campaign Manager.

  4. Review the permissions Campaignly is requesting. These let us pull campaign data and performance metrics.

  5. Click Allow or Authorize to grant access.

  6. You'll be sent back to Campaignly. Select which LinkedIn ad account(s) you want to connect if you manage multiple accounts.

  7. Click Confirm and wait for the connection to complete. This usually takes a few seconds.

You're done. Your LinkedIn data should start syncing within a few minutes.

Troubleshooting

Connection fails or times out

  • Make sure you're using an account with Campaign Manager admin access.
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting. Clear your browser cache first.
  • Check that your LinkedIn account isn't restricted or locked.

Data isn't showing up

  • Wait 15–30 minutes for the initial sync. LinkedIn data pulls can take time.
  • Verify you have active campaigns in Campaign Manager.
  • Check that the correct ad account was selected during setup.

"Access denied" error

  • Your LinkedIn account may not have the right permissions. Ask your account admin to grant you access to Campaign Manager.
  • If you recently changed your LinkedIn password, sign out of Campaignly completely and reconnect.

Managing your connection

To disconnect LinkedIn at any time:

  1. Go to IntegrationsLinkedIn Ads.
  2. Click Disconnect.
  3. Confirm the action.

Your historical data stays in Campaignly, but new data won't sync until you reconnect.

To switch to a different LinkedIn ad account, disconnect and reconnect using a different LinkedIn login.
