Overview
Connecting your Google account to Campaignly lets you pull data from Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Ads, and Google Search Console directly into your campaigns and reports. Once connected, you can view performance metrics without leaving Campaignly.
What you need
- A Google account with access to the properties you want to track
- Admin or Editor permissions on the Google Analytics 4 property, Google Ads account, or Search Console domain
- Your Campaignly account should have Admin permissions
How to connect
- Go to Settings → Integrations
- Find Google and click Connect
- You'll be redirected to Google's login page
- Sign in with the Google account that has access to your properties
- Review the permissions Campaignly is requesting and click Allow
- You'll return to Campaignly. Your account is now connected.
Selecting which properties to sync
After connecting, you'll choose which Google properties to add to Campaignly:
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Google
- Under each service (GA4, Google Ads, Search Console), click Add Property
- Select the property you want to sync
- Click Confirm
You can add multiple properties. Campaignly will start pulling data within a few minutes.
Using your connected data
Once properties are synced:
- GA4 data appears in campaign reports and performance dashboards
- Google Ads data shows spend, clicks, and conversions in your campaign overview
- Search Console data displays impressions and click-through rates for organic search
Use these metrics to compare performance across channels in one place.
Disconnecting or removing properties
To stop syncing a specific property:
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Google
- Find the property under its service
- Click the Remove icon
- Confirm the action
To disconnect your entire Google account:
- Go to Settings → Integrations
- Click Disconnect next to Google
- Confirm
This stops all Google data from syncing into Campaignly.
Common issues
"Permission denied" when connecting: Make sure you're signing in with a Google account that has admin access to the properties you want to sync. Personal Gmail accounts often don't have these permissions.
Data isn't showing up:
- Check that the property was properly added in the Integrations settings
- Allow up to 24 hours for historical data to backfill
- Confirm the property is receiving data in Google's native platforms (GA4, Google Ads, or Search Console)
I see data from properties I didn't select: Campaignly only syncs properties you explicitly add. If you see unexpected data, check your Integrations settings to see what's connected.
Need to reconnect with a different Google account: Disconnect your current account, then follow the connection steps above with a different Google account.
