What it does
Re-running an audit lets you check how many issues you've fixed since your last scan. Instead of waiting for a scheduled audit, you can manually trigger a new one right away to see your progress.
When to re-run an audit
- You've fixed issues and want to verify they're resolved
- You want to check progress before a client meeting
- You've made significant changes to your campaigns and need fresh data
- You're troubleshooting and want to see real-time results
How to re-run an audit
- Go to Audits in the left sidebar
- Select the audit you want to re-run
- Click the Re-run Audit button (usually in the top right or action menu)
- Wait for the scan to complete
The audit will begin scanning your campaigns immediately. Depending on how many campaigns you have, this can take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes.
Viewing results
Once the re-run completes, you'll see:
- New issue count — how many issues were found this time
- Comparison to previous run — which issues were resolved, which remain, and any new ones detected
- Issue breakdown — organized by category and severity
Navigate between audit runs using the date selector or version history if your workspace stores multiple audit snapshots.
Important notes
Timing matters. If you re-run an audit too quickly after fixes, Campaignly may still be detecting the old data. Wait a minute or two after making changes before re-running to ensure fresh data is picked up.
Some issues resolve automatically. Not all fixes require manual action. For example, if a campaign's scheduling issue self-corrects or expires, the next audit will reflect that automatically.
Permissions. You need Editor or Admin access to re-run audits. Read-only users can view results but can't trigger new scans.
Audit limits. Most plans allow unlimited audits, but heavy usage may be throttled. Check your plan details if you're running audits very frequently.
Troubleshooting
Audit shows the same issues. Double-check that your fixes were actually saved. Some changes require campaign republishing or activation before audits detect them.
Re-run seems stuck. If an audit doesn't complete after 10 minutes, refresh the page or contact support. Large accounts with hundreds of campaigns may take longer.
Can't find the re-run button. Make sure you have editor permissions on the workspace. If you do and still don't see it, try clearing your browser cache.
