How Campaignly protects your data

Campaignly takes data security seriously. We encrypt data in transit and at rest, use secure servers, and follow industry best practices to protect your information.

All communication between your device and Campaignly uses SSL/TLS encryption. Your passwords are hashed — we can't see them, and neither can unauthorized users.

What we store

We keep the following data to run your account:

  • Account information: Email, name, workspace details
  • Campaign data: Content, schedules, performance metrics, audience lists
  • Client information: Names, emails, and contact details you add to campaigns
  • Activity logs: Login history, campaign actions, user activity within your workspace
  • Billing records: Payment history and subscription details

We don't sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with service providers who help us run Campaignly (like payment processors and email delivery services). These vendors sign agreements to protect your data.

Data retention

  • Active campaign and account data stays as long as your account is open
  • Deleted campaigns and contacts are removed from our servers within 30 days
  • Archived data can be retained longer depending on your plan — check your workspace settings

Requesting a data export

You can download all your data at any time:

  1. Log into your Campaignly account
  2. Go to Account Settings > Privacy & Data
  3. Click Export my data
  4. Choose what to include: campaigns, contacts, activity logs, or all data
  5. Select your format (CSV or JSON)
  6. We'll email you a download link within 24 hours

Requesting account deletion

Deleting your account removes all data permanently. This action can't be undone.

  1. Go to Account Settings > Privacy & Data
  2. Scroll to Delete account
  3. Click Request deletion
  4. Enter your password to confirm
  5. We'll remove your account and all associated data within 30 days

Before deletion, we recommend exporting your data if you need to keep records.

Important notes

  • Team data: If you're part of a shared workspace, only admins can request account or workspace deletion
  • Compliance: Campaignly complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations
  • Third-party integrations: If you've connected external tools (like Zapier or webhooks), review their privacy policies separately — we're not responsible for how they handle data
  • Backup windows: During the 30-day deletion period, your data may still appear in our backup systems but won't be accessible
